live it to give it is all about love and connection. Being authentic. Living our lives and sharing it with others. Life is messy and so is this blog. Somedays my organized coach self shows up. Other days it's my vulnerable author. There's a mom that lives inside me alongside a wife, friend, social justice activist, creative muse, ponderer extraordinaire, and multitude of others. I'll introduce you to people who inspire me and offer a peek into my world that very likely intersects with your world. In other words, I will share life in its full, glorious mess with you. I'm honored you're here and I hope you'll come back soon!!  Cheers! Kayce

Let Your Banner Fly!

Why do we think things have to be linear? If I do X then Y will happen. Maybe it's our math brain, the left side that likes being scientific and proving things. Live it Tip!

A brilliant tip that I use all the time!!!

"When your to-do list  threatens to spill over, examine
every item on it while asking two questions:

1. Is this task absolutely necessary to keep my life afloat?

2. Does this task buoy me up emotionally?

If the answer to either of these questions is yes, do the deed. If not,
do nothing. Let that problem or opportunity float past you. Wave and
smile, if you like, but don't bring inessential, unpleasant things on board.
Your kayak isn't big enough. Anything unnecessary could sink you."  Martha Beck

Exploring Life's Artistry

“Being an artist and a rebel (and yes, a monk) is about dancing on the edges where others dare not go and discovering there is bursting, abundant, overflowing life within. It’s about transforming work into play and witnessing joy in the midst of sorrow. It’s about playing with all the colors of the spectrum and creating one’s own definition of beauty.”

There are lots of juicy nuggets here and who says you can’t start reading the book (and our previous posts) today or next week?
