water wings

Monday, September 9, 2013 at 1:00 AM Yes, I am a yogi. I believe the yoga mindset—creating positive change—can revolutionize how we respond to one another in the world. I practice yoga to find unity within myself (body, mind, spirit) and, in return, I find connection with other people. Together, we witness and experience positive change.
Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 12:00 PM Why do we think things have to be linear? If I do X then Y will happen. Maybe it's our math brain, the left side that likes being scientific and proving things. If there's one thing I've learned in my journey of personal growth and healing: Life is NOT linear. Doing X does not always result in the Y we imagined.

Adrift – "floating without control". I’ve been called to the sea… beckoned to be adrift… delighted for a glorious time spent with loved ones... floating, sailing, discovering.

"When your to-do list threatens to spill over, examine
every item on it while asking two questions:
1. Is this task absolutely necessary to keep my life afloat?
2. Does this task buoy me up emotionally?
If the answer to either of these questions is yes, do the deed. If not,
do nothing. Let that problem or opportunity float past you. Wave and
smile, if you like, but don't bring inessential, unpleasant things on board.
Your kayak isn't big enough. Anything unnecessary could sink you." Martha Beck
