Playing with Prompts ~ #embrace

#embrace
Embrace life... your lover... a new way of thinking or being.
Embrace the world around you... the neighbors who make too much noise, the barista who brews your coffee, the sirens that blare in the middle of the night.
Embrace your children... the yoga instructor... the man who stands on the corner with an "Anything helps" sign.
Embrace diversity and synchronicity and all the other 'icities you love or dislike.
Embrace.
Embrace until your arms go numb and your heart grows soft. Embrace until the hardness cracks and the whole world falls in.
Embrace the smallest details and the most humongous disgrace.
Embrace. Because really what else is there to do?
We've tried pushing away and stuffing down, turning our heads the other direction. We've tried corporal punishment and poisoning the planet.
It's not working.
Our world is worth embracing.
Start Now.
Embrace the cherry blossoms outside your window. Welcome them with your eyes.
Embrace the stranger on the street with a lovingkindness prayer.
Embrace your lover even when ~ no, especially when ~ you're angry... unless, of course, he or she is abusive. If so, RUN and embrace safety.
Embrace your children when they act like brats and you wonder who raised them.
Offer the barista an extra $1. Put a coin in the beggar's cup. He really doesn't want to beg.
Embrace yourself. Embrace this day. Embrace dark and light.
Embrace life.
#embrace
During the month of March, Sharon Richards and I (the creators of SoulStrolling) are sharing 31 simple words to help you connect and collaborate with your world. (Click here for details and to download the words. No sign up and it’s FREE!)
Ponder the word for the day. Notice what arises in your mind. Free-write. Set a timer for 3 minutes. Make art. Dance it. Snap a photo. Use it as a walking meditation. Slow down. Take your soul for a stroll. Be present. What captures your eye? The ways to play are infinite!!!
How might you #embrace the world today?
Share your findings on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, your blog... Use the hashtag #soulstrolling + the prompt for the day (ex. #embrace) I'd love to know if you're playing!
