live it to give it is all about love and connection. Being authentic. Living our lives and sharing it with others. Life is messy and so is this blog. Somedays my organized coach self shows up. Other days it's my vulnerable author. There's a mom that lives inside me alongside a wife, friend, social justice activist, creative muse, ponderer extraordinaire, and multitude of others. I'll introduce you to people who inspire me and offer a peek into my world that very likely intersects with your world. In other words, I will share life in its full, glorious mess with you. I'm honored you're here and I hope you'll come back soon!!  Cheers! Kayce

This practice is providing a lovely container for both my creative side (as I embark upon NaNoWriMo - National Novel Writing Month) and my deepening spiritual practice (after returning from a 10-day silent meditation retreat.)

Moving Slowly in a Fast-paced World

The man I share a table with at the airport café snacks on an oversized cookie, takes a quick swig from his paper-cupped coffee with eyes glued to his computer and a cell phone juggled under his chin. Across the way, a mother loudly chastises her young child for dropping muffin crumbs on the ground. She scowls at her spouse and shoos him away to get more napkins as she smoothes her own perfectly coiffed appearance. Outside in the concourse, people rush at (and by) me like flying grains of wheat released from an overflowing silo.

Change is the Imminent Event!

Lock ‘n load. The times they are a changin’. Summer turns to fall. Silence turns to voice. Pounding turns to stillness. Always, we are changing. Today, I’m trying a new writing technique. I’ve set my timer, put on my sassy cowboy hat and loaded a little Don Henley on the iPod shuffle. Hmmm. Who knows what will transpire... and does it really matter?
