My Life in Poetry
by Kayce Stevens Hughlett
Periodically, I play the game of writing my life as a headline or 6-word memoir. This week's version looks like this:
SoulStrolling Wild Woman Skips the Holidays!
And then there is a version of the French Pantoum that showed up while I was co-facilitating Awakening the Creative Spirit...
i am one who runs parallel to the horizon,
reaching from ground to sky
the journey calls, i lean in, open my eyes & dream
the journey calls
to step through, to truly cross over without guilt or shame
i open my eyes and dream to roam free,
to breathe out more than i breathe in
to step through, to truly cross over without guilt or shame
i lean in to roam free,
to breathe out more than i breathe in
i am one who runs parallel to the rest,
reaching from ground to sky
What is your 6-word memoir or life headline? How might you configure your life as poetry?
