Unwritten Until Now

unwritten until now, yet lingering from the beginning
this I know is true...
...and so we begin again
transformed by the past
living and becoming who we are today—
not who we were then
...and so we begin again
it's all in there—the old, the new, the not yet
as we live and become who we are today—
not who we were...
we said goodbye to then in awkward words
and unwritten silences
...and so we begin again
it's all here—the old, the new, the not yet
transformed through the past
living in the present
we no longer say goodbye with silences... instead
we reach for what was unwritten until now,
yet lingering in the heavens since the beginning
