when words fail, i turn to nature...
Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 9:17 AM
"All of nature is invested with the loving care of an infinitely creative God."
I bind unto myself today
the virtues of the starlit heaven
the glorious sun's life-giving ray,
the whiteness of the moon at even,
the flashing of the lightning free, t
he whirling wind's tempestuous shocks,
the stable earth, the deep salt sea,
around the old eternal rocks.

Thanks for sharing. I will have to check out the Celtic Daily Prayer book.
Lovely.
Our snow is almost gone and the sun is brilliant today. Winds are lively. Nature is preparing to push up from below ground. The "old eternal" certainly does "rock"!
How lovely...
While less far advanced toward spring than you folks on the "wet" coast, we can feel it coming. As Maureen noted above, it is preparing to push up from below ground. A friend reported she spotted crocuses!
Your lyric Celtic prayer brings spring all the more strongly into our hearts and consciousness. Thank you, lucy.
I came back to let you know I cited you and your blog in a post today. You will find the mention here:

Nice article,
Keep posting stuff like this i really like it.
God Bless you.
Me too. I turn to nature. Often, quite often. Turning to nature ~ it's just like turning to God, isn't it?
Words are nature, in nature, evolved through nature. What was she thinking!

Kayce, Your post is beautiful and so true. For me, though, when words fail, it is because the pain is too deep to express. Maybe deep in the earth nature also writhes in pain....then grows through the crust of that pain, sees light above, breathes in and out for awhile, then blooms again, with new growth, new stories, and new trust. May these words find your heart and help to heal. Shalom, Laura
Beautiful photo and celtic prayer. My photos of the past month are holding me up, along with the beautiful sunshine of this weekend. I'm thinking the upcoming week is not going to be so craaazy:)!
