"...shaped by our suffering and polished by our joy, we become the Earth, knowing more and saying less." -- Mark Nepo

I will answer this quote with another, from the Buddha. I came across this yesterday in the wonderful book by Robert and Dina Van Arsdale called "The Way of the Beloved."

"If it is hurtful and untrue, don't say it.
If it is helpful and untrue, don't say it.
If it hurtful and true, don't say it.
If it is helpful and true, choose the right time."

pollinatrix - thank you for offering this great quote. i wonder how many times we jump too quickly with our words and forget to "choose the right time."

thanks, tink, sue & kel!!

barbara - "a peaceful New Year" - i like that so much more than "happy" which rings shallow more often than not.

blessings to each and all!!!
